  6. The camera is great. I just got a Cannon camera in the spring from GEAR UP. So now I will have two cameras for my classroom which will be perfect for Web Page Publishing and Desktop Publishing. I will also be looking forward to taking them on my annual fall New York City and Washington DC trips. I belong to a Writing PLC and we are required to take pictures of classrooms and events. It will come in handy for that, too. The session was very helpful, and I can't wait to learn about all the features of the camera. I am a little confused about the assignment, however.

My favorite session was on Podcasting. Anne is so knowledgeable and very helplful. Hands on sessions are always the best. That is the reason students like CTE classes. I am excited to try this with my students. I'm sure they will take right off with it.

The ePortfolio session was also very informative. However, when it comes time to actually do our portfolios, I'm sure I will need a refresher course. He is also very knowledgeable and helpful. It was also hands on, but not as fun! This is something I have always wanted to do with our Seniors' portfolios. Maybe I can get some ideas from this and help our students do an ePortfolio for their Senior project.

The whiteboard training, as usual, was great. The videos of the students were amazing. We can learn so much from our students, and sometimes I believe we don't learn from them as much as we should. The websites and resources they shared with us will be very useful for all teachers.

I had the Writing Roadmap training last summer with Vaughn Rhudy, so I was a little familiar with WV Writes. It is something we all need to buy into to help our students do better on the Writing Assessment tests. Writing is important in every curricular area, and this is a great tool to help students improve their writing skills.
