WV TIS-CTE

Well, I am not sure what went wrong I thought I had already posted....anyways went to opening session and he talked about collaboration with the academic teachers which I feel is a great concept, getting the academic teachers on board is sometimes a challenge they are busy with their own classes. We then had lunch which I felt wasn't near as good as yesterday, but was good. The afternoon sessions for HOST were about student learning styles which was a good review for me and it reminds you to keep in mind that all students learn differently and to try and incorporate as many different techniques in teaching as you can to try and capture them all. Then we had a CORE session which is about organ and tissue donation, a very tear jerking afternoon but also a review and reminder that every minute in life is precious and that the need for organ and tissue donation is very real and needs to be addressed plus you can also apply for a 2500.00 grant from them. A very good day.
