Day 2: General session interesting. Wonder how we will implement the PLCs at school. We already have a common planning time so may work well with in school collaboration.
STEM Academy sounds a lot like PLTW, not sure about the differences. Speaker said there was no competition between the two.
Green Initiatives: I think Mark Swiger was suggesting there be LEED programs instituted at the CTE to meet future industry needs with trained employees.
I attended the first session on Friday morning which was about the performance assessments. I thought it was the most informative session of the whole conference. I love that students may only have to have three required classes and one elective class to become a completer. I would also like to volunteer to be on the revision committee for the tests.
ReplyDeleteI then stayed for the CTSO session. It was very informative and motivational. I hope to take these ideas back to my students and hopefully they will buy into them. Overall, the conference was great and I had an awesome time getting to know all of my fellow TISs. I am also looking forward to next week and everything we are going to learn at the Tech Conference.
