Thank you Abby for reviewing with the entire group what we are doing, where we should be, and where we are going! During the am meeting, our Photo team decided on a project theme. A note to the other teams, WE ARE GOING TO WIN!!!
The general session speaker was amazing! He was very inspirational! Too bad that they ran out of books! I really wanted a signed copy!
Next, I went to the Prezi presentation by Mark Moore. I am very interested in using Prezi instead of PPT for mine and my students' presentation.
Finally, I went to the Assessing Authentic Student Work by Karen Petitto. I wanted to take this session because I want to learn different ways to "grade" my students work.

On a side note, lunch was WAY better!! The oreo dessert was worth EVERY calorie!!!

  1. Abby I agree with Brandi and how helpful it was meeting with you this morning. And I also agree that our team is gonna WIN the competition!!!! The opening session with Mr Sean Tuohy was wonderful and I got goose bumps as he talked because that is what we are suppose to be doing as teachers is turning around and picking up the lost child. I then attended the session on Moodle....it was ok, not exactly what I thought it was going to be. The presenter was ok he just went very quickly and was not able to answer specific questions on how we can actually set up our own webpage. It was an OK session....hopefully tomorrows sessions will be more informative. Not sure that I will ever be able to use or utilize Moodle.....

  2. The morning session was extremely helpful. I am glad we had time for a Q&A session, as well as, time to work on our PhotoStory. I hope all of our ideas make for an entertaining presentation. I could have listened to Mr. Tuohy for another hour. His message was so inspirational. I was disappointed that I stood in line and they ran out of books. The Moodle session was a little overwhelming. You have to buy space on the Internet in order to use it. I may try to start out slow and build on Moodle. Lunch was delicious!
