January was filled with snow days. If we didn't miss the whole day, we had a 2 hour delay. This month I assisted teachers with troubleshooting varioius computer issues. I arranged for our school to get new wireless access points which should help eliminate being dropped from our network. I also worked with the new French teacher with accessing virtual field trips in our Distance Learning lab. I ordered more Elmos and assisted my teachers with setup and did mini sessions on their software. In addition, I arranged for an Elmo workshop during team planning periods for each grade.
My students our utilizing new keyboarding software and our assisting me with finding new online typing games to add to our keyboarding resource page. I have integrated more online timer tools and music from Kagan into my classrooms. Students seem to enjoy having background music when they type or when completing classwork. I would recommend Kagan training for any school--it is wonderful!
