This has been an amazing month thus far. I have travelled, met with TIS cohorts, and dove in to technology in ways I never thought possible. I realize how much I have learned since be granted the honor of choice by ABBY. I know so much more and yet every time I read or re-read the contents and work on an assignment, I learn something new.
I realized awhile back that to look at these assignments like a doctoral student trying to put into practice this vast amount of knowledge and really do all my works to make them work for myself and my students, is what makes me embrace the assignments and get into them so that I can get out of them what is intended. Some time it feels like busy work and yet, in reality it is making me do things I would not otherwise do.. I might say I will but with time constraints in my hurried life...well you all probably know what I mean. I have many things in process...Action Plan, making my assessments work or evaluating their worth, flipcam project with LC student's, prezi presentations coming up this month from child development and fashion students, getting newer computers in my classroom(because mine will not allow the students to keep up with our newest projects, dinasours(spell check please), I still want to Skype a lesson and I want to make a podcast for my Blended Delivery class. I want this podcast to enhance the online learning and projects I have in store for the Life Connection's class. About 45 of theses students are seniors and I want them to complete their remaining lessons online...My fashion class is finishing a Swap N' Shop, My class room looks like a clothing store...kids drop off and pick up clothes, including a dress drop, Emily, a student is planning on gettibg the clothing into hands of young adults who need business clothes, schools that need dresses for dances and for the clothing to be given to those in need. Around 4o students actually stop in and take clothes, I do not know why that is all. We are alwo planning our MOCK WEDDING, this year we are combining 2 classes and each student will invite one person to attend. We are trying to have this in the auditorium on the stage...we will see...the issue here is that I want this to be student led and if you look at my LIFE Connection wiki or blog,,,,mmmhhhh. More to come! Lisa
