Install and use the webcam.
Install reference books and other files on student computers to use with software.
Instructed students on use of several software packages for the class room.
What technology activities did you share with your students?
We worked together on set-up and initialization of the mimeo, the webcam,the structural analyzer and use of truss kits (on loan from WVUIT). The truss kits allow set-up of bridge trusses with roadway and compression/tension load tests with read-outs of values.
Other CTE educators?
Training on large sheet size (C & D) copies. Installation of software -various types in the classrooms. Worked with others utilizing the mimeo and setting up activities.
In October I attempted to allow my students to watch a virtual live surgery which would have been very cool and educational but alas it was not to be, pauses and sputters of video it was very sad, so in the meantime I have had my students using the computers as much as possible for my larger classes I have to sign up for the mobile computer lab we are using some neat free sites for medical terminoloy called quizlet, this is a neat site where you can make up your own quizzes and then there are four different activites they can do with that particular lesson.
